TITLE: Donut guy
SOFTWARE: Autodesk Maya 2016

Personally I am really into different types of deserts. After all I still find my own love as donuts, which is a signature of American food. It is really easy to make, but also not healthy. My character shows the dark colors in the background to represent evil (unhealthy),but with the pink colors I can show the sweetness and my love for the donuts. The details on the donut show the innocent part of the donut to attract people to eat it. This was my first class designing a unique personal character. I ran into many issues with the software at first, but Professor Sutherland walked me through the issues.

When I was little I had a seahorse as a pet in China. While growing up I realized it was illegal to have a seahorse as a pet. So I made this design to represent my pet seahorse as if I could have one right now. When I first designed this character I ran into a lot of problems with the texture of the seahorse’s skin. I figured out on my own how to develop the 3D texture for the skin.

While attending school I was a free lance personal shopper. My dream was to become a blogger, traveling the world and understanding the newest fashions. Then I wanted to start my own clothing line and this 3D design represents a draft of my future store. The windows and wall are done with marble and gold around the window frames. The sparkling windows represent the high quality of glass.
TITLE: Deer
SOFTWARE: Autodesk Maya 2016
CLASS: ART 317 Advanced 3D Animation

SEMESTER / TERM: SP 16

The deer represents the mystery of nature. One moment you see the deer out in the forest and the next they are gone, which represents the mystery. They are intelligent animals who inspired me as an artist to show the mystery within a piece of work. They are a kind of animal that lives around us, but you really don’t see them. I found this character really inspiring.
